
The American Civics/Americanism committee meeting #2 will be held directly following the May 13, 2024, regular board meeting scheduled for 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. This is to satisfy the annual requirement as per LB 399.

Congratulations to Aiden for medaling 14th today at the North Central Invite!

Practices for the Missoula Children's Theatre will begin on Monday, May 13 at 3:40 in the Learning Center. The cast will be the same as auditioned for in January. The public performance is Thursday, May 16th at 6:00 pm in the Learning Center.


Due to the weather forecast, the HWY 20 Golf Invite hosted by North Central in Bassett will be moved to Tuesday, May 7th. Start time remains at 9:00 AM


The Track Meet in Valentine will start with field and running events at 10:00 AM. Admission will be $5 for adults and $4 for students this year.

Congratulations to Miranda, who has also qualified to attend the national contest for National History Day! Miranda placed third at the state contest with her junior individual documentary titled "Woodrow Wilson's Turning Point: How America Entered World War I." Since the second place winner cannot attend, Miranda has been invited to the national contest which takes place at the University of Maryland in June.

The Ainsworth High School Quiz Bowl team traveled to Hastings on Wednesday, April
24 th to compete in the ESU state quiz bowl. Thirty teams comprised the bracket for the double elimination competition. Teams are not separated by classes because each ESU sends the top two teams from their competitions. Ainsworth began the day by defeating Nebraska Lutheran. They were defeated in a close match by Southern Valley and were eliminated by Kearney. The top three teams for the day were Elkhorn North, Norris, and Elkhorn South. Ainsworth’s quiz bowl team finished the year with 10 wins and 9 losses. Team members include Cole B, Carlos P, Mason T, Grace G, Emma M, William B, Sam T, Ty B, David C, and Erick H.

Official SWC Track Running Event Schedule Change (due to predicted adverse weather conditions): The running events will begin at Noon, pole vault starts at 10:00 am, with all other field events beginning at 10:30 am
