
Congratulations to Blake Hansmeyer and Adeline Hladky. Both were named State Runner-Up at National History Day on Saturday, April 12th, at Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, Nebraska. Blake Hansmeyer created a documentary entitled “Mendez v Westminister: The Pathway to School Desegregation.” Adeline Hladky created an exhibit called “The Right to Safe Food.” Blake Hansmeyer and Adeline Hladky have the opportunity to attend the national contest held in June at College Park, Maryland. Other participants from Ainsworth Middle School at the state contest were Andrew Arens, Tristan Sedlacek, Kailey Cook, and Emersyn Hasenohr.

Parents of 25-26 Kindergarten Only, if you have a child that will turn 5 on or before July 31, please join us on Tuesday May 6th at 6:00pm in the cafeteria, use the Big A doors. We will have Kindergarten Round-up for the kids in August before school starts.


Spring means testing season. Please make sure your students get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast, and stay in routine on their test days! It really helps them to do their best. ACS CARES and we want to see every student improve!

Congratulations to Payton Moody and Ady Sears for earning silver in Interior Design, and to Miranda Lambrecht and Isabelle Arens for their outstanding performance and silver medal in Nutrition and Wellness. A huge shoutout to Addi Doke, who earned the title of State Champion in Fashion Construction and will be advancing to Nationals this July! Well done to all of our incredible competitors at State FCCLA!

On Monday, April 7th, five students from the Ainsworth FCCLA chapter presented at State FCCLA in Lincoln, Nebraska. Competing in their respective events are Addilyn Doke in Fashion Construction, Isabelle Arens and Miranda Lambrecht in Nutrition and Wellness, and Payton Moody and Ady Sears in Interior Design. The 3-Person Scramble in Valentine has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 10, with a 10:00 AM start time.


On Monday, March 31st, 23 students in grades 9-12 attended a group college visit to Chadron State College. Our day included a session on college information, a tour of campus, and lunch in the cafeteria. This visit was available to our students through the College Access Grant.






The Gregory Track Invitational on Tuesday, April 1, has been postponed.


The 3-person scramble at Frederick Peak Golf Club in Valentine on Tuesday, April 1, has been postponed.


3rd Grade did their Annual Great Potato Disguise Contest. Students enjoy showing off their creativity with this project. Students later use their potato characters to write stories that get turned into a Class Book.







The sixth graders enjoyed dissecting trout in science last Thursday.
