It was a beautiful day for the sixth graders to travel to Keller State Park for their Trout in the Classroom field trip! This field trip was a culminating activity for the Trout in the Classroom unit. The sixth graders have raised trout in a classroom aquarium since the fertilized eggs arrived in late January.
Highlights of the trip were: releasing the trout the students raised, going fishing, and observing a variety of aquatic macroinvertebrates. We would like to thank Grace Gaard from Nebraska Game and Parks for facilitating the Trout in the Classroom program and for teaching us on today's field trip!
