On Saturday, April 20th, nine students from Ainsworth Middle School competed at the state level of the National History Day contest, held at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. Three of those students have qualified for the national contest with their junior group performance titled “How the Attack on Pearl Harbor Changed the World.” Those students are Paul, Max, and Keith.
All projects fit the 2024 theme for National History Day, which is “Turning Points in History” The students have been working very hard on these projects since last fall. The national contest, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, will be held in June in College Park, Maryland.
